BONITA II is a Purebred registered (IALHA) Andalusian.  15.0 hands BUT she throws TALLER than herself!! Two of her fillies will be 16 hands!!! So, don't let her size fool you.  Bonita is a beautiful extremely well put together Andalusian mare!!  Perfect to the breeds standards and of exceptional bloodlines.    She is my 1st Purebred mare i bought.and I am so excited and very proud to have acquired such an exquisite mare!!!  Sadly (2009) I am taking a break from breeding and cuttying way back on horses.  Bonita has an impressive pedigree from several champions famous  of the breed.  Below let me tell you about them!

SAGRES (Grey) imported from Portugal, is the sire of the black stallion DISPEIRTO and the bay stallion ALVITO.  Sagres can be found in pedigrees of many of today's US Champions.  Bonita has some black & bay producers in her lineage.

ADALID (Grey) by the bay stallion MALUSO  by Luisillo out of Gloria.  Maluso is the primary founder of the bay color lines of Andalusians, and perhaps the most respected of all Andalusians ever.

LOENDREIRA is by EMIR  bred by Manuel Vega and 1/2 brother to OPUS & NOVILHEIRO and out of SEARA HIPARCO  is by PRODIGIO (Grey) out of BIOGRAFIA.

NOZELHA is by UNICO (Grey) out of FAMECA.  The bloodline on Bonita's dam side hides many colors such as black, bay, dun and even palomino for the dilute gene.  In some cases it is very possible to get a color foal from two grey parents.

Bonita's Sire is JAQUE (grandsire ZIMBRO II) 1990 Grey Imported Purebred Lusitano Stallion.  Jaque is bred from the famed Veiga bloodlines which attribute to his classic baroque features as well as his athletic agility and movement while at the same time possessing a gentle and sensitive nature.  Jaque is owned by and resides at Casa Creagh Lusitanos in Vermont.

ZIMBRO II, her great grand sire, was bred by Manuel Veiga, Golega, Portugal born in 1981.  Sire NILO dam Janota.  He was Reserve Champion and National Champion of Portugal and won the International too with Book of Merit (10 of spring of 80 points).  His son Eneas won the International Lisbon.

LUCIFER  a Lusitano was Gaston Santos' very best bullfighting stallion.

The Veiga bloodline produced the most genuine war horse of Ancient Lusitania. Veiga's are extremely functional - excellent for bullfighting mounts.

This is Bonita III's half brother Ichibon DMF (Purebred Andalusian), owned by Theresa & David Whittaker at Distant Mirror Farm.  He won the 2003 US Andalusian National Reining Championship (both Ichibon DMF and Bonita III are out of Bonita II).  More about Ichibon DMF at http://www.kutieperformancehorses.com/ichibondmf.html
