Create Your Very Own Competitive Horse.

Breeding Qualities to compliment your mare.

For those of you who have only dreamed of owning an Andalusian or half Andalusian and always thought that a horse of Emperors and Kings could not belong to you.....please take a moment to look through the pages of my site and learn how breeding your mare to Faraon De La Montana can help make your dreams come true.  Or consider owning one of his sons or daughters for sale.

Introducing to you:

Faraon De La Montana

Howard Peet (trainer) on board. Stills I took off my personal promotional vdeo.

Pure Spanish Andalusian Stallion

Faraon De La Montana passes on to his offspring, his outstanding agile movement, kind temperament, grace, and beauty.  He has proven to produce color and excellence.  It is my goal at Rare Rock Andalusians to strive for good quality foals for whatever discipline you want to use them for.  You would not only be riding History; you would be riding a horse of ultimate and unending talents. A true partner willing to please.

The Andalusian or Half Andalusian and Azteca (Andalusian X Quarter Horse AQHA) and American Azteca (Andalusian X APHA or AQHA)  are proving their versatility.  They are being shown in Western Pleasure and Reining, as well as Hunter and English Pleasure events.  A number of Andalusian owners show them in Trail classes.  In fact, the Andalusian's legacy as a Spanish mountain dweller from the rugged Iberian Peninsula makes it especially suited and sure-footed for trail riding.  Dressage, of course, since it was written for the Andalusian breed and inspired the Spanish Riding Schools for High Airs is where they really shine.  However, because of the breeds cat-like agility and speed known for fighting the fierce Iberian bulls of Spain, it is extremely suited for Reining and Cutting competition as well as a Working Cow Horse.  When it comes to agility and the ability to work cattle, the Andalusian is second to none. After all  for thousands of years he had been through countless battles with the wild and deadly Iberian bulls in competition for gracing rights. Watching an Andalusian at these events is a real joy.  Because of their build, intelligence, courage, agility, and quick movements, these horses can excel to excellence in these disciplines.  Roping or Team Penning is another strong competition for the Andalusian.  Creatures of Profound Grace, Natural Acrobats, Natural Collection, and the picture of equine elegance and beauty.  Its quite a treat to watch, and especially to experience riding the Andalusian performing any maneuver.

For millenia before man along the sandy banks of the Guadalquivir River in southern Spain, now known as Andalucia, the ancestors of today's Spanish horse grazed among the dangerous bulls of the region. Constantly in danger, the horse developed keen senses, agility and long, curved neck and powerful limbs capable of spinning it out of harm's way. These noble horses who still taunt the horns of the bulls of the "corridas" of Spain are scarcely changed from their beginnings.

The Andalusian has strong bone structure and extremely good hooves.  Strong hock action with a lot of drive off the hind quarters and are naturally collected with quick powerful turn.   Other breeds of horses when bred to the Andalusian are proven to produce these improved traits to their offspring.  Almost every Western breed is a descendant of the Andalusian, since the Andalusians were the first horse to walk on the American continent.  Book your mare to Faraon De La Montana for the Spring. Transported semen can be available if booked in advance.

It is also my goal to produce outstanding, quality Andalusian and Half Andalusian  horses for you to enjoy and have as your new partner.  I even offer you a Foal Payment Plan on terms for you to acquire one of his offspring more affordably.  Take a look through my site and enjoy.

Movies to watch with Andalusians in them are:

Legend, The Phantom, Zorro, Lord of the Rings,
Battlefield Earth, Van Helsing, Man In The Iron Mask,
Sleepy Hollow, Braveheart, The Patriot, Kingdom Of
Heaven, The Three Musketeers, The Musketeer, Rob Roy,
Ever After, First Knight, Bedazzled, The Brothers
Grimm, LadyHawk, A Knights Tale, King Arthur, Merlin,
Gladiator, Troy, and Alexander.

To truly appreciate the Andalusian one must experience one for oneself....be it 1/2 Andalusian or a Purebred Andalusian.

Not only is the Andalusian enjoyed for its beauty and graceful movement, but also for its peaceful temperament.  Despite the fiery impression it makes, this horse is quite docile and affectionate toward people.  Andalusians are good natured and extremely intelligent!  They want to please the rider, doing whatever movement you ask of them.
